Cool Tool: QuickRibbon.com
Check this out — a free online tool for creating a ribbon on your website to draw attention to new features, announcements, sales, etc. It literally takes five minutes to create your custom ribbon, and a few more (depending on your comfort level accessing the code) to add it to your site.

Enter your ribbon text, a link, pick your colors and copy the code. That’s it.
Installation
If you have a standard hosted website, you will need to add the code provided to your own code, or you can add it right to your blog. Here are the directions for adding QuickRibbon to your WordPress blog:
- Enter your WP admin panel
- Go to Appearance > Editor > click the footer.php file to edit
- Insert the ribbon code after the </body> tag
- Save
