webcam Reader Challenge: Create a Video BlogHow many of you have taken the plunge and blogged in video? Kathy Sena of Parent Talk Today recently did, and I was inspired. Vlogging adds a personal, human and realistic element that is hard to find with all text, all the time. Plus, it’s nice to take a break from typing and put your webcam to use!

So, I thought this would be a perfect time to launch my first SBIG Reader Challenge. Here are the details:

The Challenge

Record a video and post it on your blog.

Who Can Compete

SBIG readers with a blog and desire to vlog. It can be your first online video, or you can be a seasoned pro.

How to Enter the Challenge

Record your video (it can be on anything that is relevant to your own blog and audience), post it to your blog, and comment below with a link to your vlog post by Friday, May 21.

The Prize

The best video will be featured on SBIG, including your bio and info about your blog/business.

Winner Selection

I will pick the winner based on creativity, uniqueness and overall content provided. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 31.

Oh and because I would never make my readers do something I’m not willing to do myself, I’ll be posting my very own first video blog over the next week or so. Stay tuned and good luck!
